Sharing music is one of my "love languages". I enjoy sharing my music taste with others, and I truly appreciate those that have put me on to great music throughout the years. This is a post where I share, and briefly comment on the ten songs or albums that have been heavy in rotation for the month.
Enjoy!
.........
1. Ultra EP by Jabari
[R&B]
I have been vibing with "No Trouble" and "In My Head" off this Extended Play. These two tracks specifically have been on repeat. I enjoy watching Jabari play Will on Belair, and love that he is branching out to music because he has a lovely voice!

2. Different Color Stones by TiaCorine
[Rap]
Her flow on this is insane. I just feel like I can conquer anything when I listen to this song. The beat and bass is crazyyyy. She's one of those female rappers that I hope gets more recognition in the near future.
This is a great song to play at the function or in the whip on your way to run errands. You most definitely will feel like a bad b**** after bumping this ha!

3. Glock by Don Toliver
[Rap]
This man really sampled Whitney Houston on this track, and I was genuinely surprised at how well it fit. Overall, a guilty pleasure song that you will find yourself blasting on repeat. Don makes great music, but I feel like this track specifically shows the audience how he is able to surprise them with his creativity.
.........
4. Exposed by Keke Palmer
[R&B]
This album that Keke released showed her growth as an artist. "Exposed" is one of my favorite tracks. It reminds me of old school R&B where they aren't taking sh** from men. She is really vulnerable on this track and that vulnerability resonated throughout the album. A true gem of a song.

5. 1:59 by Normani (ft. Gunna)
[R&B]
Normani is so talented and I will forever die on that hill! This collab she has with Gunna returned in my rotation this month. These two on this track is just sexy. Their voices mesh well and their styles are similar. I love what Gunna brought to the track overall. He is a great artist in his own right.

6. Rain by Sunday Service Choir
[Gospel]
This song has been consistently been on rotation for my September Sundays. I discovered it while listening to some Kirk Franklin music, and didn't realize it was Kanye's choir until I looked more into them. Their rendition of the classic song by SWV is elite and truly touches your soul.
I played it once while I was on my neighborhood walk, and after it suddenly started raining, and the song just hit different on that walk.

7. Spin by Kevin Ross
[Afrobeats]
This song hits different in the whip. I discovered it through listening to an Afrobeats radio, and had it on repeat for the rest of the day. The chorus is catchy. I would say it's more of a summer song, but overall worth the listen to those who enjoy Afrobeats in general.

8. Bheba 2.0 by Oceanbiller x Omaannn x Tskay
[Amapiano]
Amapiano is just vibes man. The beats just get you moving. This song in particular is great to dance to or listen to while going for a long run. I appreciate producers so much. They truly shape a song, and they are clearly the most important player when it comes to the Amapiano genre.

9. You by Coco Jones
[R&B]
Coco's voice is so lovely on this song. It really makes you feel like you're living out the plot of a romance movie. If I had to describe this song, it would be the feeling of being in love. A strong contender for a wedding song.
.........
10. Birthday Dance by Josh Levi
[R&B]
In theme for the birthday month, I have been blasting this hit by Josh all month. I was first introduced to Josh's vocals through the The X Factor, and I'm really appreciative of his growth in his musical journey. I wish he would get more recognition because he is so talented. As a dancer, he has really good music you can also dance to, which I truly appreciate.
