As a child, I often participated in the Saturday parties at the community hall, which helped maintain community ties and share our Cameroonian culture with the locals. This piece is my way of highlighting the impact these gatherings had on my life, showing how vibrant and dynamic they were. I wanted the focus to be on the attire and how colorful my cultural prints are. The main matriach on the right is wearing Ndop fabric which belongs to the Bamiléké ethnic group I'm a part of.
