I was bored one day and started playing around with Canva after going through my photo album. I stumbled on this photo of me when I was about two years old. It was taken back in my birth country, Cameroon, before I came to America. Looking at this younger version of myself reminded me of where it all started. This image also shows me how much I’ve grown throughout my life, both literally and figuratively. I included some of my favorite quotes on the cover because they reflect the mindset that has shaped how I approach life.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized I really dislike being controlled. People often try to place limitations on you as a way of controlling you, but I believe that if you're truly passionate about something and put your mind to it, you can follow it through. I’ve stopped listening to other people’s doubts. I’d rather try something and find out it’s not for me than never try at all just because someone else said I couldn’t. I’ve learned that many people project their own limitations onto others, and I refuse to let that hold me back.
