I have always been a big Fifth Harmony fan, and more specifically Normani who was one of the group members. In 2019 when Normani dropped the music video for "Motivation," I was like this girl is here to stay. She is meant to be a solo artist (I still believe this)! I really loved her outfit in the music video, so I decided to recreate it for my Halloween costume that year. I modified it a bit by changing her 1996 to my 1997, but overall I was trying to capture the essence of the piece.

I actually made this outfit the night I was heading to a Halloween pregame, because I had so much to do in the lab that week. I think it turned out pretty good for only putting in about two hours. I got compliments. It was cute. I just love when people recognize your effort, no matter how big or small, and my Halloween costumes were always a fun way for me to express my artistic self.
